Çe\u015fme,Ba\u011fdat-\u0130stanbul demiryolunun Almanlar taraf\u0131ndan yap\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 y\u0131llarda, Alman \u0130mparatoru II.Wilhelm taraf\u0131ndan, II.Abdülhamit ile aralar\u0131ndaki dostlu\u011fun bir simgesi olarak arma\u011fan edilmi\u015f. 1898’in yaz aylar\u0131nda yap\u0131m\u0131na ba\u015flanan çe\u015fmenin, II.Abdülhamit’in 25.culüs (tahta ç\u0131kma y\u0131dönümü) törenlerinde (1 Eylül 1900) aç\u0131lmas\u0131 planlanm\u0131\u015f, ancak yeti\u015fmeyince, 27 Ocak 1901 (II.Wilhelm’in ya\u015fgünü) tarihinde aç\u0131lm\u0131\u015f.<\/p>\n

Sekizgen planl\u0131 olan çe\u015fmenin plan\u0131, Kayser II.Wilhelm’in özel dan\u0131\u015fman\u0131 mimar Spitta taraf\u0131ndan çizilmi\u015f. De\u011ferli ta\u015flarla süslenen metal çat\u0131s\u0131 ve mermer parçalar\u0131, \u0130stanbul’a gemiyle getirilmi\u015f ve burada birle\u015ftirilmi\u015f.Çe\u015fme daha çok Alman neo rönesans\u0131 denilebilecek “rundbogenstil” çizgisindedir.    <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
