Bu kilisenin alt\u0131nda, bilmeyenlerin farketmesi imkans\u0131z olarak yolla ayn\u0131 seviyede bulunan eski bir bizans kilisesi kal\u0131nt\u0131s\u0131 daha bulunmakta. Kal\u0131nt\u0131, halihaz\u0131rda bir atolye olarak kullan\u0131l\u0131yor. Daha &ouml;nce k&ouml;m&uuml;rc&uuml;, tamir at&ouml;lyesi olarak da kullan\u0131lm\u0131\u015f. En son &ccedil;elik kap\u0131c\u0131 idi. . Kilisenin ambulatuar\u0131n\u0131n k&uuml;&ccedil;&uuml;k bir k\u0131sm\u0131 ise biti\u015fikteki kahvenin i&ccedil;inde kal\u0131yor. 4.ve 5.y&uuml;zy\u0131ldan kalma olan, dolay\u0131s\u0131yla \u015fehrin belkide en eski kilisesi olan yap\u0131n\u0131n Ayii Karpos ke Papylos Martirion&rsquo;u oldu\u011fu saptanm\u0131\u015f. Ad\u0131, zamanla kar\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131larak, (Rumlar aras\u0131nda) &ldquo;Polykarpos&rdquo; haline de gelmi\u015f. <\/p>\n<p>Kilise &ouml;zel m&uuml;lk, kirac\u0131lar\u0131n ifadelerine g&ouml;re eski T&uuml;rk&ccedil;e yaz\u0131l\u0131 ve tu\u011fral\u0131 tapular varm\u0131\u015f. Murat Belge&rsquo;nin de\u011ferlendirmesine gore Bu el de\u011fi\u015ftirme herhalde olduk&ccedil;a eskilerde ger&ccedil;ekle\u015fmi\u015f ve yukar\u0131daki Ayios Minas&rsquo;\u0131n yap\u0131lmas\u0131 izni belki de bu tuhafl\u0131\u011f\u0131 telafi etmek i&ccedil;in verilmi\u015f.
